Sunset health booster juice

One or my first posts was about juicing and I wanted to share more of the golden treasures I love to drink. Powerhouse of health and nutrition.

At  fall and winter time there is the need to be more caring and provide our body with the right fuel to strengthen our immune system and have the right defense against the colds. One of the juices I love to make at this time of the year is with pomegranate and citrus fruits and I also like the idea of using what's in season and that is exactly what this delicious juice is made of, seasonal gorgeousness. 

Citrus juices is always so refreshing, energizing, they are packed with C vitamin and with a rich variety so you never get bored when you mix together juice from different fruits, as grapefruits, oranges, tangerines, and tangelos . Add pomegranate juice for a dose of color  flavor, and antioxidants. This juice is super health boosting and will give you a great dose of what you need to keep you healthy. 

What you can do to have even more health properties is to keep as much of the white skin from the citruses as possible. It is in the white skin flavonoids , powerful antioxidants  is hidden. 

Sunset health booster juice
A citrus pomegranate juice, delight in a glass at any time you wish 
Serves 4

Ingredients
3 small grapefruits
3 oranges
3 tangerines
1 lime
3 pomegranates


Directions
Make the juice by using a citrus press or a juicer for the grapefruits, oranges, tangerines, and lime. You can juice the pomegranates (2/3 cup juice) into a separate bowl to have a color effect of the juices in your glass. Divide citrus juice among 3 glasses. Top with pomegranate juice, which will settle to the bottom and you will in that way create two color drink, beautiful optical effect, serve and enjoy. Great entertaining way to serve the juice and make a show of it or juice everything together and skip the optical effect. The health properties are the same although not the fun!

I would like to make you aware of the fact that all fruit juices is high in sugar and for that reason you need to think not to indulge to much of their gorgeous nectar if you need to think of how many calories you consume daily. As long as you live an active life and eating well balanced meals it is a good health supporter.  We need to feast a little now and then with goodness from nature and such powerhouses is very welcome.
