Tzatziki - Appetizer / Yogurt Dip (sauce)

" WE ALL EAT & IT SHOULD BE A SAD WASTE OF OPPORTUNITY TO EAT BADLY "

 Tzatziki

I like to introduce to you one of my Mediterranean and loved Greek yogurt appetizer called Tzatziki. Tzatziki is a healthy, delicious, nutritious way to spruce up your meal, and to enhance the flavor in many of your foods.

Tzatziki is tangy with the fresh flavor from yogurt, cucumbers, wine vinegar, olive oil, and fresh or dried herbs as dill, oregano, thyme or mint depending on the flavor you want to intensify and is more suitable to the food you serve. Perfect as dip sauce, as fit-food owing to the rich and high quality protein, also good for a healthy tummy due to the probiotic in yogurt. Together with the garlic and herbs this appetizer or dip becomes a true health treat. Tzaziki makes perfect to use as sauce and replace other more fat, salty and sugary unhealthy condiments and works well as a low-fat substitute for mayonnaise in sandwiches and burgers,.

It is relatively easy to make Tzatziki sauce at home, you have the best result using greek yoghurt, it is thicker than other yogurts. Many stores sell pre-made Tzatziki sauce but I hope you take the time to make your own, it is cheaper and you avoid the additives.
